Steven studied Civil & Structural Engineering at Dundee University where he graduated in 1998 with an Honours degree in Structural Engineering and Design Management.

 

His career began at ARUP (Edinburgh) where he joined as part of their graduate development programme.  In 2002 he moved to AECOM (Edinburgh) working his way up to Structural Engineering Practice Lead (Scotland).  At AECOM Steven worked on various high profile projects including BBC Headquarters Glasgow, RGU College, M&S Cheshire Oaks and Diageo Roseisle Distillery.  In November 2015 he founded SF Structures Scotland Ltd to bring his broad range of experience to a smaller, design focused, engineering practice.

 

Steven enjoys developing holistic, design led solutions best suited to the client’s budget and aesthetic aspirations. Steven is also an approved SER Certifier.

 

Outside the office Steven enjoys football, mountain biking, snowboarding and any pub-based sport!
